# ColdVisit

> A stranger visited your product. Here’s where they left.

ColdVisit sends its own AI agent through your product as a simulated first-time user — from landing page to first value — then shows where the journey becomes unclear, difficult, or impossible and exactly what to fix. It does not watch real customers. You can optionally describe who is visiting; if that person already knows the brand, the agent judges as they would.

## How it works

Choose how far the same audit runs: the full journey through first value, or the public landing page only.

1. **First impression — “Do I understand this?”** The agent arrives with no briefing unless you specified a visitor. If that visitor already knows the brand, it judges as they would; otherwise it works out who the page is for as a cold first-time visitor.
2. **Decision — “Is this worth the next step?”** The AI agent follows the main action in a real browser and records the expectation the page creates before signup.
3. **Signup and setup — “Can I get inside?”** On a full journey, it creates an account, verifies the email, completes forms, and works through setup on its own — filling setup the way the specified visitor would, or as a cold new user if none was set.
4. **First value — “Was the promise delivered?”** The AI-agent run continues until the useful outcome you define, or the exact wall preventing it from getting there. You can attach up to 3 throwaway files (PDF, Word, Excel, CSV, or image, 5 MB each) if the product requires an upload, or tell the agent what sample input to synthesize. If you attach no file and one is required, it invents a tiny fake sample.

## What the numbers leave out

Analytics can tell you that real users signed up and never came back. ColdVisit does not watch them. It runs one deliberate AI-agent test journey to expose likely causes: the page claim that created the expectation, the silent validation error during signup, the forced invite before value, or the empty dashboard with nowhere to begin.

Every recommendation connects what the AI agent encountered to the likely user impact and the next move the team can ship.

## What you finally know

1. The first impression: what the page appears to sell, who it speaks to, and what lands immediately. If you specified a visitor, the report also shows **Audited as**
2. Message, audience fit, action path, trust, and content-depth scores with the reasoning
3. What happened when the agent followed the main action in a real browser
4. The signup, verification, setup, and onboarding trail
5. Time and steps to first value, plus whether the promised outcome happened
6. The exact field, error, gate, or empty state that blocked progress
7. An owner-only video recording of the AI agent’s complete browser session
8. Prioritized fixes tied to browser evidence
9. Ready-to-paste rewrites for lines that created doubt or the wrong expectation
10. Screenshots, prioritized experiments, and a shareable PDF
11. On a full journey: search-snippet, desktop visual, and footer/contact checks on the landing report, plus optional files or sample data used to reach first value

## FAQ

### Does ColdVisit watch real customers?

No. ColdVisit sends its own AI agent through a simulated first-time-user journey in a real browser. By default the agent arrives cold, works out what your page promises, follows the main action, creates a test account, verifies the email, and works through onboarding until the useful outcome you define — or the exact wall that prevents it. No real customer activity is observed.

### Can I tell the agent who is visiting?

Yes, optionally. You can describe the visitor in one line — for example a hiring manager, a returning customer, or a founder comparing tools. If that description implies prior knowledge of your brand, the agent judges and moves through the product as that informed visitor. Otherwise it still arrives as a cold first-time visitor. Leave it blank for a generic first-time visit. The report still records who the page appears to target, separately from who you sent.

### Is this the same as Google Analytics or Hotjar?

No. Analytics tells you where a large group dropped off, and session replay makes you watch recordings to form your own theory. ColdVisit runs one deliberate AI-agent test journey, explains what the agent could understand and complete, then turns that evidence into fixes your team can ship.

### How does the agent know when it has reached first value?

You describe the first useful thing a new user should accomplish, such as creating a first project or publishing a first page. Optionally you can add on-screen text that appears at that moment, tell the agent what sample input to synthesize, and attach throwaway files if the product requires an upload. The AI agent works toward that outcome on its own. You get time and steps to value, friction at every meaningful step, and the field, error, gate, or empty state that stopped progress if the outcome was not reached.

### Can the agent upload a file if my product requires one?

Yes, on a full-journey audit. On the first-value step you may attach up to 3 throwaway files — PDF, Word (.docx), Excel (.xlsx), CSV, PNG, or JPEG, 5 MB each. Those files are submitted into the product being audited, so do not upload real customer or confidential documents. Leave the upload empty and, if a file is required with no skip path, the agent invents a tiny fake sample instead of opening a file picker. For in-app text, records, or demo datasets, use the optional sample-input instructions rather than a file.

### Is it safe to let an agent into my product?

The run is scoped deliberately. The agent never pays, never uses OAuth or SSO, never leaves your domain, and never takes destructive actions like deleting data or inviting teammates. It uses a throwaway account by default, and any test credentials you supply are encrypted and deleted after the run.

### Do you store or share my site’s data?

Reports and screenshots are stored with your account and remain private by default. The video recording of the AI agent’s browser session is available only to the report owner. Page content is processed by the providers named in our Privacy Policy, and a report is published only when its owner explicitly chooses Share Report.

### Can ColdVisit audit more than one page or screens behind a login?

Yes. You can start from a homepage, pricing page, signup page, or campaign landing page. Public-page-only audits stop before login; full-journey audits reach product screens through an account the agent creates, or test credentials you provide. Use your product’s Sign up / Get started URL, not a standalone Auth0, Clerk, or Okta page. Each starting page is a separate audit. Agency credits can be mixed across both scopes.
