First conversion killer

01

The next step is clear. The payoff is not.

Visitors can see exactly where to click, but the landing page never says what becomes easier, faster, or better after they do.

One AI agent · one continuous journey

Every conversion has a before and an after.

A page can win the click while the product loses the user three minutes later. The same AI agent tests both moments, so the promise and the experience are judged together.

01First impression

Do I understand this?

The agent arrives with no briefing unless you specified a visitor. If that visitor already knows the brand, it judges as they would; otherwise it works out who the page is for as a cold first-time visitor.

Message · audience · trust
02Decision

Is this worth the next step?

The agent follows the main action in a real browser and records the expectation your page creates before signup.

Action path · friction · intent
03Signup and setup

Can I get inside?

For a full-journey audit, it creates an account, verifies the email, completes forms, and works through setup on its own — as the specified visitor if you described one, otherwise as a cold new user.

Fields · errors · recovery
04First value

Was the promise delivered?

The agent continues until the first useful outcome you define — or the exact wall that prevents it from getting there. If that outcome needs a document, you can attach throwaway files; otherwise the agent invents a tiny fake sample when an upload is required.

Time · steps · blockers

You choose how far the same audit runs: stop after the landing page, or keep going through signup and onboarding to first value.

What the numbers leave out

Analytics tells you where. ColdVisit tells you why.

“Signed up, never came back” is not a diagnosis. The browser trail below turns that one line into the moments a team can actually fix.

01

Before signup

The benefit sounded useful, but not concrete.

The agent found the action quickly. What it could not find was a believable picture of the result waiting on the other side.

02

During signup

A required field looked optional.

Continue did nothing until Last name was filled. No asterisk, no inline error, no clue where to recover.

03

After signup

The product asked for work before showing value.

A teammate-invite wall and an empty dashboard arrived before the first task. The promise was never delivered.

Audit the whole journey

Evidence, not a generic teardown

One promise. One product. One honest verdict.

ColdVisit connects what your page says to what its AI agent encounters next. That is how a finding earns its place.

01

The promise

“Your travel business, finally in one place.”

The page sells an all-in-one agency workflow and a no-card trial. The agent carries that expectation into signup.

02

The browser trail

Twenty steps later, still no itinerary.

Account created. Paris Trip saved. Trip Assistant open — then “Fill empty days” ignored every click. First value never landed.

03

The fix

Make the aha button work — and put proof on the page.

Fix the dead generate controls, say why a button is blocked, and add one agency quote above pricing so the trial feels safe.

What you finally know

Stop guessing what the drop-off meant.

One report turns the full visit into answers your designer, marketer, and product team can act on.

What did they understand?

  • The cold first impression

What the page appears to sell, who it seems written for, and what lands immediately.

  • Message and trust scores

Audience fit, action path, trust, and content depth, each scored with the reasoning.

  • The action in a real browser

What happened when the agent followed the main CTA — not what the button was meant to do.

What stopped them?

  • The signup and setup trail

Every meaningful step from account creation and verification through the product. On a full journey you can attach throwaway files or sample-data instructions if first value needs them.

  • Time and steps to first value

How long the promised outcome took, how much work it demanded, and whether it happened.

  • The exact blocking moment

The field, error, gate, or empty state that turned progress into abandonment.

  • Agent-session video recording

Watch the complete browser run exactly as the AI agent experienced it, available privately to the report owner.

What should you ship next?

  • Prioritized fixes

The highest-impact changes first, each tied to something the agent actually encountered.

  • Ready-to-paste rewrites

Replacement copy for the exact lines that created doubt or set the wrong expectation.

  • A report your team can use

Screenshots, journey evidence, prioritized experiments, and a shareable PDF.

No heatmap to interpret. No pile of real-user sessions to scrub. Just one deliberate AI-agent journey, the reason it broke, and the next move.

Questions

The things you’d ask before clicking.

Does ColdVisit watch real customers?+

No. ColdVisit sends its own AI agent through a simulated first-time-user journey in a real browser. By default the agent arrives cold, works out what your page promises, follows the main action, creates a test account, verifies the email, and works through onboarding until the useful outcome you define — or the exact wall that prevents it. No real customer activity is observed.

Can I tell the agent who is visiting?+

Yes, optionally. You can describe the visitor in one line — for example a hiring manager, a returning customer, or a founder comparing tools. If that description implies prior knowledge of your brand, the agent judges and moves through the product as that informed visitor. Otherwise it still arrives as a cold first-time visitor. Leave it blank for a generic first-time visit. The report still records who the page appears to target, separately from who you sent.

Is this the same as Google Analytics or Hotjar?+

No. Analytics tells you where a large group dropped off, and session replay makes you watch recordings to form your own theory. ColdVisit runs one deliberate AI-agent test journey, explains what the agent could understand and complete, then turns that evidence into fixes your team can ship.

How does the agent know when it has reached first value?+

You describe the first useful thing a new user should accomplish, such as creating a first project or publishing a first page. Optionally you can add on-screen text that appears at that moment, tell the agent what sample input to synthesize, and attach throwaway files if the product requires an upload. The AI agent works toward that outcome on its own. You get time and steps to value, friction at every meaningful step, and the field, error, gate, or empty state that stopped progress if the outcome was not reached.

Can the agent upload a file if my product requires one?+

Yes, on a full-journey audit. On the first-value step you may attach up to 3 throwaway files — PDF, Word (.docx), Excel (.xlsx), CSV, PNG, or JPEG, 5 MB each. Those files are submitted into the product being audited, so do not upload real customer or confidential documents. Leave the upload empty and, if a file is required with no skip path, the agent invents a tiny fake sample instead of opening a file picker. For in-app text, records, or demo datasets, use the optional sample-input instructions rather than a file.

Is it safe to let an agent into my product?+

The run is scoped deliberately. The agent never pays, never uses OAuth or SSO, never leaves your domain, and never takes destructive actions like deleting data or inviting teammates. It uses a throwaway account by default, and any test credentials you supply are encrypted and deleted after the run.

Do you store or share my site’s data?+

Reports and screenshots are stored with your account and remain private by default. The video recording of the AI agent’s browser session is available only to the report owner. Page content is processed by the providers named in our Privacy Policy, and a report is published only when its owner explicitly chooses Share Report.

Can ColdVisit audit more than one page or screens behind a login?+

Yes. You can start from a homepage, pricing page, signup page, or campaign landing page. Public-page-only audits stop before login; full-journey audits reach product screens through an account the agent creates, or test credentials you provide. Use your product’s Sign up / Get started URL, not a standalone Auth0, Clerk, or Okta page. Each starting page is a separate audit. Agency credits can be mixed across both scopes.
